Josh
And now it's official that there will not be any strike action over easter: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17558294 If there was, it would be ridiculous as I'm sure the panicking yesterday was on par or more than what would have happened anyhow. Guigsy
Bring back petrol stations where you didn't pump it yourself and an attendant does it. They can check you actualy need fuel. And if you don't tell you to bugger off. No fuel unless under 1/3rd of a tank.and full refuels only. Also creates jobs If I ran a petrol station I'd have someone on the entrance checking gauges... TubbyTwo
Oh it gets better.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2122500/Fuel-crisis-Woman-suffers-40-burns-pours-petrol-cans-avoid-shortages.html Some silly cow decanting petrol into another container, in her kitchen, near a gas hob that was on. Apparently its all the Governments fault she got burned. 'Her daughter asked her mum for petrol because she had run out. The cooker was on and the fumes ignited. 'She did not think about the fact the gas cooker was on. The petrol then went up and she got burnt. Seriously now!!

JPow
Dads car was too low on petrol to get him to work today as petrol stations had run out - borrowed my car and promise a full tank in return. Winner winner chicken dinner.

Paul
I was stuck up in Lincoln yesterday in my L200, about 120 miles away with no diesel to get home. Had to get in line for 45 mins to finally get fuel and some dork and his fat wife were in front and he put no more than a tenner in to top up their family wagon to the brim

It sounds like he was acting normally and you were panicking for fuel. As a nation, we need to be working towards weening ourselves off our desperate addiction to fossil fuels. Can anyone actually tell me why we aren't using synthetic fuels?

Buses here are terrible some of the main routes stop at 7:30pm which make them soooooo impractical and useless it is unreal. A donkey would be better most the time. Abz
Went & filled up today as the car was low on fuel (not the Supra), and I don't know what the fuss is all about? The forecourt was empty & it was the quietest I had seen it in a while, with that it also being on a busy road! Filled up the car up as the government advised, only problem is it is leaking out of the doors, and I'll have to climb in through the sunroof to stop it all pouring out! Terminator
I think the whole farce has been an attempt to take the heat of Cameron and the buy lunches for political favour issue. Now the focus will be on whether the "top up" idiot - (minister) will resign. The wealthy buying access to government to furnish their own ends is a huge issue and far more important than a ques at petrol stations. This government is just as rotten as those gone before, or is everyone to blind or stupid to see it.
heckler
Well, I went to my local garage for fuel, they'd ran out of Super Unleaded!!! which was fine as I have a diesel car!

This government is just as rotten as those gone before, or is everyone to blind or stupid to see it. This issue with donators getting the prime ministers ear does need looking into further, but IMO its nowhere near as bad as Labour, where their party is effectively a tool of self serving unions. The unions are a huge majority of the donators to Labour, and are the reason they have a complete moron in charge at the moment, instead of his far more capable brother. I've recently decided to stop voting from now on, I was always a Conservative voter but have completely lost faith in the utterly broken system. marc_p
Last night I spent 30 minuites trying to find Super Unleaded for the Subaru, I was literally running on fumes by the time I found some(Everywhere had normal fuel but no Super unleaded!!), however, I had to pay 158.9 for it . There should be a none of the above option on the voting slip. Surley using your vote for some other crazy party that is well out there would be a better idea than not voting at all though.
