Graham1984
Just saw the news where they stated no talks until after the easter weekend and even then they have to give 7 days notice before a strike..... Well done England you bunch of spastics.
al02uk
I kept an eye on the local Murco garage today, they had 2 price increases!! We were buying diesel at £136.59 (inc vat), so it goes to show that the majors are now starting to take the **** out of this mess
Soopra
i have a much better idea... once people have filled up they should leave their car at home so ensure it stays full of fuel then i can go out and drive on empty roads and enjoy my car

Scooter
Does anyone live in either Chichester,Petersfield,or Haslemere know what the situation is? I might just wait until tomorrow or Saturday and hope for the best when I have go out. A friend on facebook in that area is struggling to get diesel. I'd phone Liphook Shell 01428 726910 and see if they have any left.
Abz
Ah the joys of living in London!! Think I'll catch the train, bus, Boris cycle or boat into into work tomorrow! On second thoughts I'll just work from home! Still, didn't stop the muppets filling up like mad around here!

My mate works in Liphook said sainsburys got pummelled all day so I doubt the shell garage on the A3 was any less hit, I doubt the prices is too good either. I am in that bad scenario where if I go out I have to get some to get back and due to the mines ecu I want to get either v-power or tesco 99 as it loves the stuff. Massive msn update story from our "Leaders"...... "urmmmmm can you only get some when you have half a tank please" Flu epidemic next week so I am off to panic buy lemsip..... When will it end. Havard
God knows how we'd cope if there ever was a crisis. Is this not a crisis? I was hoping for anarchy and rioting. The government just don't get it do they. We have some of the highest fuel costs in the world and they have now made it illegal to protest about it. I was curious today just how many of the cars around me had 1/2 a tank, 3/4 of a tank etc. I was on my arse so no one could accuse me of panic buying. H. Charlotte
God knows how we'd cope if there ever was a crisis. As opposed to one that the government created by getting one of their reps to say that *maybe* you should fill up a can or two and *maybe if you're at half a tank you should fill up. Unbelievable, I mean, I wanted to know more about the cash for access business, but hey, good diversion Mr C. I'm off to stock pile pasties and stamps. supra_aero
All you guys calling people fools for panic buying. Maybe these people actually had low fuel and needed to fill up and this was compounded by the fact that they were scared that if they didn't the petrol stations would run out of petrol by the evening (as they have in most parts). Some people urgently need their cars to get to places and can't rely on public transport and didn't have the option of waiting. My supra low fuel light came on whilst getting to work and I need my car to get to the remote area I live in so filled up before lunch time anticipating that petrol stations would run dry (as they did). How does that make me a fool??
jonathanc
it makes sense to panic buy. When the petrol and diesel runs dry guess who's gonna make some £££

sideexitsupra
Well I sat in a queue for 20 minutes today to get fuel. However, I was empty and 250 miles from home. Now I'm at home I feel smug that I am working from home and have plenty to get me to airport on Saturday for our holiday. Hopefully all this rubbish will be sorted by the time we get back. I am sure millions of these queuing didn't run out of petrol at once They are the idiots, just as I would have been if I went out & filled both my cars (which are low on fuel). It is not panic buying when you actually need it but considering the rules before a strike there was plenty of time. it was more the idiots who had 3/4 of a tank and were filling up that annoys me. Delboy52
Maybe the whole "panic buy" was a cunning trick by the goverment to make a quick buck on peoples reaction. Just arrange for the stations to whack the prices up for a bit, induce a little panic and the flood gates are open. Then look like a prince later on when he slashes fuel prices by 5p a litre and restores the fuel supply. It wasn't broken in the first place..
