CJ
I have a nice JVC LCD 32" TV whose picture is fine and dandy. However, the sound is crap! What would you recommend (not expensive please as my budget is proper low) that could enhance this? I don't need a full surround system as my lounge is fairly small and as I never use DVD's (I watch things direct off my PC or through a media external HD) I have no need for the player. So, what can you recommend for someone on a benefits budget?

CJ
To be honest, that's about 2 weeks pay for me! I guess sub £100 is what I'm after.

imi
no, youll need an amplifier to drive the speakers. I have an Aiwa Hifi System that I no longer use (the CD changer doesnt work properly however the amp and speakers are perfectly fine) - it has surround speakers that support pro logic. You are welcome to it if you can cover the price of postage. Will be back home on the weekend and can take pics. More than happy for you to arrange for it to be collected - that way you can choose a service of your choice.
Shane
http://www.ebuyer.com/249784-xenta-5-1-surround-sound-speaker-system-b307-vn Col. This will get you started, not Bose, but within your budget, buy it, try it and if its crud then flog it on ebay or send it back for a refund. Abz
Hey CJ, I got something like the below for the TV in our bedroom a couple of years back. It far exceeded our expectations. I brought it for £40 from a computer fair (brand new). The sub is nice & bassy & the satellite speakers nice & crispy.
CJ
Well, that was a waste of time. Ebuyer took my order, took the payment, confirmed it - and then cancelled it themselves. I tried again and the same thing happened. Looks like they are out of stock but have not updated their website.
