Guigsy
Never been to jae and it's just up the road. What's the appeal? What goes on?
Tom S
Dunk - if you are coming for 1 day it is a tough choice. Pay £10 and walk in but you must leave. Or pay advance ticket £25 + Delivery and bring your car in (stay if you want to). Entry on the Door to bring car in last year was £35... H - Told you that was the best option. I thought only you were doing the Food and Vicki was staying on her diet?? Ian - Cool, will bring Betsie...... Looking forward to renewing some old friendships.. I have a nice Malt (something Pixelfil likes too)
Dnk
Thanks for the info Tom, i just found this out on the JAE forum so i doubt i'll be coming as i'd only be there for 5 hrs or so and parking up in the general car park is a non starter for me. Tom S
Dunk, I know you feelings. I have to pay an additional £50 just to empty my car. (which I should get back)!
Havard
Never been to jae and it's just up the road. What's the appeal? What goes on? It's like sitting in the car park @ Dragonball and having a BBQ and getting leathered..!!
Guigsy
Something I'm not that bothered about then . the BBQ sounds good tho Not sure it's worth risking getting shanked in Kettering just for a BBQ

As a one-day visitor your options are; pay a tenner and leave your Supra in the car park, or £30-£50? to park at the Club Stand, where you'll find hungover faces instead of pretty girls bottom avatars. Don't waste time and money going on Friday, because all you'll see is folks turning up. Likewise don't waste time and money going on Sunday, because all you'll see is folks leaving. Saturday is the only day to go, when you will find a field with cars in it, a couple of Auto shiny-tat tents and burger vans, with folks wandering around wondering why they went! Handy if it's handy to meet up. Edited August 30, 2012 by David P (see edit history)

Handy if it's handy to meet up. David, you have a strange view of JAE, it has always been about the relaxing, 2006 was the great storm, 2007 it rained constantly (we won best stand as we didn't let it damper our spirits), 2008 was Mersea Island (nightmare), I cannot comment on anything else until last year. you said no one came across to you last year, I remember anyone who asked to see inside a car or an engine bay was taken straight over to any car and given a look around. JAE is a good show if you want to look at cars, it is also a good show to sit down, have a beer and chill with friends from around the country. If you do pop in look for me, I'll be sitting with my friends or walking around with my g/f come say hello..

I will say hello, or I will have wasted my privilege for a third time. Edited August 30, 2012 by David P (see edit history)

David P
I can take as much as I can give. I'm looking forwards to putting faces to avatars and names to handles, even though remembering another name and face for someone who already has them doesn't come naturally, so stand by for a Spoonerism or two.
