ellis
I've searched high and low on t'internet but am struggling to find anywhere that supplies a full kit of silicone hoses for the MKIV. I'm after the whole caboodle includin vacuum and cooling etc plus clamps and ties. Does anyone here know of a supplier that does the lot? There's a strong possibility that I'm keeping the car and if I do I'll be giving her a complete overhaul which will include new suspension, (the Chris Wilson kit for sale has caught my eye) brake upgrade and possibly BPU! She's in next week for a complete service and a complete going over to identify anything and everything that might need sorting out and then she'll be getting it. Week after is refurb of both rear wheels and touch up of 3 stone chips. Then it's project time!! Anyway, silicone hose kit to start!

Dnk
Sort your own out, a lot of the hoses you can buy by the metre and simply cut them to the required length
ellis
Sort your own out, a lot of the hoses you can buy by the metre and simply cut them to the required length I've seen the kits with 3, 4 and 5mm hoses - I was rather hoping to buy the whole caboodle in one swoop - for consistency of colour and quality from one supplier more than anything else. Plus when it comes to anything remotely 'handy' I am a complete flid - most of the jobs I do myself tend to end up either on fire or in a thousand pieces on fire (either way fire is usually involved). Mind you, I think even I can cut hose to the right length. It's the larger parts that seem harder to get from the same places.
Dnk
Have a look at http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk They sell Samco in all colours inc vac hoses and also do lots of preformed bends inc selling it by the metre.

I think ScottM know's them. Also speak to Paul Whiffen as i think he can put something together for you

Dnk
Aren't you running the risk of the colours not matching if you use 2 differant manufactures ? For the amount you save i'd have just gone with the best and used Samco for everything.

I'm happy to take a punt on the vacuum hoses for twenty aquid, have a try and see if they look OK - if they do then I can order the lot from Samco - that's my warped theory anyway! And looking for one supplier for all was my original aim really - to ensure colour and quality consistency across all the hoses.
