SupraDan24
Is there a particular reason for it that i don't know about? When i'm looking at selling Supra specific items on the Forum , i like to look and see what they've sold for in the past to guage their worth. It's frustrating tracking down threads where identical items have been sold just to find that they've overwritten the price with £SOLD. SupraDan24
Okay, well hopefully anyone who does read this can just write Sold instead and leave the price, as it makes it alot easier to keep track of items worth when you know how much they have previously sold for. Si_s Supe
I agree. I've recently run a FS thread for lots of parts and have left the prices with SOLD next to them for this very reason. I see no logical reason why prices should be removed. It only makes it harder for other people to value their parts and inevitablely leads to parts / cars loosing value as people under price them for fear of being smacked down for over pricing. Supra Gaz
Its not just to stop people from making offers but also so the new owner of the part can sell the part on for what they want without people saying 'well you only paid £20 for it'. Some parts get rarer and are worth more as time goes by imo. That's why I do it on my for sale threads anyway.

Darragh
I've just started to delete my adverts when things get sold, it stops unwanted attention .

SteveC
Prices left on a sale thread could also be slightly misleading. A seller may well have accepted a lower offer by PM, so the original advertised 'for sale' price - if left un-edited - will not reflect the true price an item has actually sold for. hogmaw
Also if someone knowingly sells something cheap to make a quick sale, it could cause all kinds of problems for those in future who want to sell the same item at the 'correct' price.
