Funny gold plaque on my ECU,what does that mean??

Fitted the FCD today and when i took out the ECU its got a gold plaque glued on it saying guarunteed genuine MINES and MINES stickers sealing the two halves , the plaque has a serial No on it but also has the toyota part No on it , what have i got here standard or not?????

Well well well...another one of these turns up.

 

Yes its a MINES modified ECU. http://www.mines-wave.com

 

They are one of the best tuners - right up there with JUN and Top Secret.

 

With it you gain.

 

A fuel map to 1.1bar

FCD (its never cut even accidentally ran 22psi!)

SDL (de-limited)

uprated ignition timing

Basically it is a good thing!

 

U cannot run UL on this ECU.

 

ONLY Optimax or SUL.....and if you are going for a track day, load the tank with Toluene too and it will take advantage as its got a 100octane optimised map.

 

Oh and NO-ONE in Britain can tell you anything....or they arn't allowed to. Shin from Prospec-ms is the only MINES dealer in the UK - though Option claim to be able to help...

so what your telling me is that i didnt need to fit the TRL FCD that i grovelled around for ages trying to make a nice job of , should i take it off or leave it on ??? , and what will it be worth when i sell it as im getting an AEM or Apexi power FC .Help i dont know what to do now .
