Plugging stock BOV, right or wrong?

Hi all!

The stock bov is connected with 2 big hoses and one small vacuum hose. When istalling my after market bov from greddy i simply plugged the old bov vacuum hose and used it for the new bov. It seems to be working fine!

Now for the question: The 2 big hoses is still connected to the old bov. Should i plugg them to and remove the old bov system all together or could i leave them connected but with the vacuum hose removed and plugged?

(yes i have search and i couldent find an answer to this specific question.)

Cheers from sweden!

The two big hoses need blanking off. The old BOV may well leak under boost otherwise.

Ok i see! Any good suggestion how to plugg them? They are pretty big so a screw might be hard to find in that size. Thanks for the answer!

Nice way: Two proper rubber pipe caps.

Red neck way: Two walking stick rubber tips (they'll soon rot, and they'll remind older members of a certain turbo company who "invented" this method....).

Bulging eyed red neck way: Two pieces of wooden dowel / broom handle offcuts in the ends of the two original hoses.

Best way: Remove original pipe stubs and turn up alloy plugs and Loctite into original pipe stub holes.
