Justin
I know this has been asked before but there didn't seem to be a finite conclusion. My front left J-Spec shock is leaking so I want to replace the front pair. I guess I will need new springs too. 1. Can I not get new Toyota Jap replacement springs and shocks? 2. If this is too expensive should I buy Koni shocks from Fensport with Eibach springs? 3. Any other low cost suggestions welcome. Cheers J
Alex
If you are going to change al of them then you will need about a grand for a decent kit. Otherwise just get replacements for what you have. CW will, no doubt, be able to get you either OEM or his special Koni kit.

Myles
Justin , my right shock is leaky & due to be changed soon ...I can let you have the left one as I'll probably change them all .... :littled: Seriously though , DP Motorsports do Bilsteins for about £460 + delivery for full set ... I'm supposed to be buying Justin Fodens oem Bilsteins , but am having to wait for them .... Andrew at DP says he can do next day delivery . Do we get a discount from DP ? anyone? edit: BTW why do you think you'll need springs?
Justin
Cheers Myles much appreciated I'm gonna investigate all options to see which is best and not too expensive. Is it OK to replace just one shock though? Are bilsteins better than Koni's? Don't know if I need new springs. How can one know? Cheers mate. I've sent CW (fast car doctor) an e-mail to see what he thinks.
Paul Whiffin
I've got a full set of J-spec std shocks/springs that I took off a car a while back, you can have them for £80 plus delivery?
Myles
Originally posted by Justin Is it OK to replace just one shock though? erm, no .... that bit was a joke (& not a very good one at that)... You're more than welcome to my good one when I take it off , but since (in my limited experience) changing shocks is normally a dirty , knuckle bashing exercise , you don't want to have to change them twice (unless masochism is your thang) . ....& your supposed to change them in pairs .
