neil tt
Still a very good price, and it black too
Colin-mkiv
Would you be getting the leading edge rolled ? .....or sharpened?
neil tt
.....or sharpened?[/quote Now thats just nasty, but maybe it would stop things bouncing on the bonnet
Noz
Be easier to cover the edge I reckon.
Noz
Ok, sounding like material selection has been made, opinions? I've asked for a quote for delivered. I need to double check the dimensions will cover it, should do the job though. Reply email from company: I would image is was Embossed Polyprop which we hold at the Bristol Depot 2440x1220x3mm £30.00 plus vat 2440x1220x4.5mm £39.10 plus vat
listy
I think those dimensions would cover it mate easy. Once you have one made, I may be on the phone to you about doing me one
Noz
If you arrange that meet up Wales if I get mine sussed I'll grab some dimensions off you when I come up for sure. Depending on how it looks I'd be tempted to carbon wrap it to reduce that plastic look. Depending on how ductile it will be, it would be great to carbon weave the whole lot and give it that offical carbon look. Though it might be expensive. Time will tell, I'll update my thread as I work on it. Need to update it!
jazz1
Mine i used it to protect my bumper, http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?79075-Apr-Wind-Splitter-On-mY-do-Luck
Noz
That looks nice. Shame they don't make them anymore.
jazz1
Contact apr direct, all I did was place my bumper over a massive paper draw around that then sent it of with the payment. They custom made the splitter from the drawing on the paper . http://www.aprperformance.com/
Noz
Probably going to be cheaper if I make it myself mate. A custom made item is costly. I'll give it ago myself, and if I fluff it up I'll definitely give them a call as their products look awesome. A selection of the front splitters that provide: http://aprperformance.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=64&Itemid=46 They all look ace. Noz
Yes mate sounds good. Come meet up with the Southwest modified lot, they seem to arrange something most weekends for a little drive about. Let me know before you pop down. Maybe measure your bumper up as I'm ordering my bits tomorrow so should have it fitted by then.
listy
Will do mate! Sure I can figure something out
Noz
I've just ordered the material. I've also ordered plastic stripping to cover 3m with a thickness of 4.5mm, the same as the material I've ordered. Also got two stainless metal support bars in the post. Hopefully all arrive fairly sharpish as having a few photos down exmouth on the weekend. Material should be here tomorrow, hope the other bits arrive. For anyone also interested, here is the material specification. I was concerned about how ductile the material would be, how brittle it may be from an impact so got hold of the specification from the manufacture. The specification states it has 50% elongation before yield. Which shows it's not brittle and won't fall apart from stone chips or other impacts. Better to have a ductile component on the front of the car in my opinion. Polystone_P-black_cop.pdf
Noz
Took a few hours to sort this out on saturday. Parts cost me £100. The design of the C-West bumper allows the extension of the splitter to follow the lines of the car, so it suits fairly well. Public comment on it are positive. So I think I'll be keeping it. Have got a few better shots, but for now, just a few naff ones off my phone and a final shot someone got at the Exmouth modified meet I attended yesterday. Supra-duper
Looks really good, if it were mine I'd be tempted to trim it just a little so it doesn't stick out so far but that's only IMO. Nice work
neil tt
So where did this come from and how thick is it please

listy
Good effort Noz Did you literally just draw around the base of the bumper, make it a little larger, cut it out and ?rivet? it on? Might give this a go myself at some point
Josh
That Rover looks pretty standard for a modified meet.. Looking good!
Dan_Turism0
i like it although i wouldn't have it sticking out quite as far if it were me, are the support bars necessary or can you just have it riveted? I much prefer it like E Kanoo's one http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/8554/toyotasupraorange4.jpg http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/5391/toyotasupraorange17.jpg http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/4181/toyotasupraorange3.jpg
