Supra N_A
went to the cinema there to see the devil inside me(was OK) asked one ticket please, ok that will be £8.10!! whhhhhhhhhhhhhhat! you joking hahah! it is the new price they have introduced.... sheer madness me thinks owell 8 BLOODY POUNDS!!! I really enjoy the cinema go all the time just think that price is unreel!
Lee_e
This is the reason i dont "do" cinema anymore.. absolutely ridiculous prices. The thing that gets me is, its not like they are improving the facilities with those extra charges .. they charge more and we get exactly the same experience. ellis
Dearer than that here in Lincoln Odeon. Add in the goodies that cost more per ounce than gold and you're looking at an expensive night out.
Havard
I hardly ever go to the cinema now. Just buy DVD's when they come out. If the prices were reasonable I would go every week.
hodge
I love the cinema it calms me down. 8 quid is a small price to pay for inner peace.

Abz
What you guys on about? I go all the time!! I pay £15 a month with Cineworld for an unlimited pass, tend to go to the one at 02 as they have big chairs and loads of space, also coffee shops etc and plenty of parking so then I can park in a corner without no one parking near me. Though the drinks/popcorn/treats are a rip off though!!

The-Plethora
I lasted till it went to £5.50 and haven't been back since (maybe 2005?) The argument used to be a pirated video would always be terrible compared to the real thing and could be a cam and ruin the movie. These days you can rent or just simply download full 1080p rips with no adverts, no piracy warnings and no people talking, it's a tough sell, do all cinemas have digital projectors these days? the picture quality was terrible when I last went. Someone came up with a good view on it once, cinemas are basically sweet shops that just happen to show movies as that where the money is, I guess the same applies to petrol stations. I am not going to the cinema until ghostbusters 3 or dark crystal 2 finally come out, might possibly give in for prometheus

I feel I have to stand up for Ed's integrity here. Now he may be a depraved sex pest but (especially after all these years) tight he is not.................sore arse yes but no £8 fee AND a free satsuma! Lbm
You snooze you lose in this game!! Aye It costs myself and Mrs Lbm £45 to go to the local swingers club....I mean cinema. £30 on two tickets + pop corn/nachoey treats + sodi pop drink. £15 baby sitter. To be honest I prefer to smuggle in stuff, but we always forget to do it. Not that we're cheapskates or anything.

That's a fair point actually - he's never charged my mum and she takes some lovin that's for sure. And I'm always glad of the satsumas as she can't eat them without her teeth in. stevie_b
A little fact for you: the cardboard containers that the popcorn is served in costs the cinema more to buy than the popcorn they contain.
