Monkpower
I wonder what peoples thoughts are on my air intake issue. I have had a twin fan/radiator set up from Whifbitz fitted on my NA Supra which is all great. However, the air feed leading to the top of the stock airbox no longer fits as the radiator is much thicker. It will go on but deforms the bonnet when closed which I don't want! I'm still running the stock airbox but without the top air feed which of course leaves a big hole for hot air to enter. I'm in agreement that the stock set up is great but what are my options for alternative intake set ups?
Swampy442
Dont want to get into any debate about n/a powerz but, why did you fit a big rad and twin fans?
JamieP
That's a pain, I'd sell the rad and put a stock one back on it or an aftermarket one that fits, anything else will be a performance compromise I think.
Josh
I got the same radiator (looks like it) from Keron and the top air feed didn't fit properly until I made a bracket to bolt it down. It still needs a bit of forcing into place to get it on. It touches the blanket under the bonnet, but only just.

I had a crank pulley come apart and destroy the stock fan, Paul at Whifbitz offered me a really good deal on his new set up. It was such a good deal I couldn't say no. The pics on his website are of my car.

The bonnet will close but where I have sort of forced it the right side of the bonnet is slightly bent now!! Blanking the hole off would then make the airbox a single as opposed to a twin entry system. Don't get me wrong I know its only an NA but I want it to run as wel as it can. These aftermarket radiators seem to be for single turbo builds to me, as the stock airbox doesn't fit well at all with it. Hope you manage to sort it
Monkpower
I might blank the hole off and maybe run an intake pipe from lower in the box leading to the front grill. A little project I guess.
mwilkinson
I had the same issue with my ASI rad. I just got a heat gun, heated the plastic and moulded it when hot to the shape of the rad. Still loads of air could get in. Simples

imi
I Guess once moulded to ensure that the fitment is air tight one could probably use mastic tape to complete the job?
