Track day question

Has anyone ever run a trackday in the UK ina car that does not have an MOT?

The car (not mine) cant get an MOT because it has a small crack in the windscreen and it would cost more than the car is worth to get it replaced.

Just wondering what the general feeling is like if trackday organizers would pick up on it or not? Any trackdays Ive been on they have never been bothered looking at the state of the car - license, noise test and you have paid and your good to go?

You don't need a MOT to take a car on a track day, oads of people have non-road track day toys that haven't been MOTd for years/ever(!)

Most Ts&Cs just say "roadworthy" condition, but they just mean not dripping fluids, dropping parts as it goes round or in obviously dangerous condition (e.g. failing brakes, holes in bodywork whatever).

Ring 'em and then you can be sure. :)

will be trailered to the event yes. The screen swap is not an options, its a 14 year old FTO, autoglass and such like wont touch it. Second hand screens are about but at £500 plud fitting. could buy a new FTO for that :(

seems a bit odd, Autoglass website homepage states - Any glass, any vehicle

Autoglass® can fit the glass your vehicle needs.

edit: also

Whatever piece of glass is damaged on your vehicle, Autoglass® can help.

We can repair or replace any piece of glass on any make or model of vehicle and our workmanship is guaranteed for as long as you own the vehicle

trades' descriptions anyone?
