Ideas for a single din cd player

I was just trying to get some ideas of some single din units to buy so any advice or links or even photo's of their own car would be welcome. I would of normally got a double din unit but due to the previous moron/owner for some reason they decided to remove the cigarette lighter and place a double adapter below the cd player and leave the hole where the lighter previously was. I was tempted to either buy another lighter unit just to plug the hole or possibly put it back and connect it where it was and remove this other twin unit (Guessing it is not a big deal to do that)

The more likely version for me to save on the hassle would be to just get a decent single din unit and leave it as it is but like above any suggestions will be welcome prices ect so I can have a think and when I get back to work I can save some money for some bits and bobs and have half an idea of what to get. I nnormally find I just end up getting any old thing after a while or just spending my money badly (NA for one) so it normally is better to ask people who have a bit of know how and either have had or what to avoid buying. It probably would be a good idea to renew the speakers as my guess is they are stock so any suggestions for them would be great too.

Cheers everybody.

Budget?

What do you want from it ? Sat nav? DVD? Ipod compatible?

Do you intend to install after market speakers, sub and or amps ?

All these we need to know before we can help you.

The system you intend to run will be crucial to the HU you need.

Seeing as I have an NA I was only thinking about £400 max as too much is just wasted lol. Due to me losing my ipod and changing computer I was tempted to get a USB stick copy of my mates I tunes so I could slot that in and play music from that. Was not even going to bother with an amp or sub as I still have the spare wheel ect and cant be bothered to go through the agro to remove it or change the boot around and seeing as there is sod all room in the back for humans then unwise to have more junk in the back too. I was only going to replace the stock size speakers with the same size which I think was 4" for the fronts but cant remember from the other thread what the rear size was.
