Does FMIC = new radiator ?

Hi all,

I am going to install a FMIC (whifbitz:eyebrows:) but I was wondering if I should not install a new radiator or add a fan between the fmic and the radiator.

I read on Internet that the fmic is a "cause" of overheating because of less air flow to the radiator.

ThE fact is that my car is an auto, so I am totally afraid of changing the radiator as it cools my transmission too..

Advices are more then welcome :p

If you're doing lots of drag racing I assume you would already have an updated radiator, you will certainly need a great big auto box fluid cooler.

I should have one :) but I am afraid of doing this mod because of the auto box cooler... Where to put it ? How do I install it ? Which cooler ? Etc...

don't know if this would help but i changed my rad to a Mishimoto 3-core and at the same time installed the Mishimoto transmission cooler. Before i changed the rad my car's temp gauge would go up to 3/4 (the daily temp. here is 34 degrees celcius though)

cools perfectly fine now, both engine and transmission
