Coolent leak

Recommended Posts

Went to clean my engine bay the other day and notices loads of small drops of dried coolent all over the front part of the engine bay where the alternator and fan/fan belt are :thumbdown

Started the engine running and gave it a few revs but couldnt find where it was leaking from. I dont seem to be loosing any coolent and I suspect it just a very small leak thats coming from somewhere only under hard use and it is been spattered all over the engine bay by the fan.

Anyone any ideas where to look???

Regards

Stu

Just replaced it about a month ago with an Envy chromed hard pipe with 4 Mikalor clamps that are well fastened down.

its more likely that when you replaced the top rad pipe some excess coolant that spilled out at the time must of just sprayed around when the engine was started. and has now just foam as dry spots. :closed:

check from cold the hard pipe silicone hose nearest the engine as mine leaked after install..symptoms are after driving water marks on chrome top pipe as if the fan has flicked them there.......tighten hose with socket not screwdriver...worked for me
