Noz
Guys, gonna remove them weekend I reckon. Any opinions on if its a bad idea or even if its worth it? Only having a little NA engine every little helps?
ripped_fear
Hey bud if you are going to do a rear seat delete, im sure it will help. But getting a delete to look nice i think is a whole different ball game. One persons to check out is inferno's as iirc it was him who did it an made it look great. safcdixon
Apparently the weight saving is minimal but if done properly it can look good, jevansios looked real neat imo
Noz
I want to get a co2 intercooler system, so it will be around that for sure. I have tints, so don't want anything too special, as it would be wasted.
monsween
I had them out and didn't like the look. Much better with the seats in. Jevansios delete was just some foam and carpet moulded into place
Supra Gaz
Under the seats is pretty ugly, it could look good if done properly as already mentioned, they are quite heavy so it could help. If you havnt already I would swap out the stock front seats, they weigh more than the moon!
sideexitsupra
No rear seats for me. Just ordered some cheapo car carpet off eBay and fettled it a bit. Doesn't look the best ever but will be properly sorted after the cage goes in.
monsween
Just do one thing, once the seats are out don't sell them as after 4 months you're going to be putting them back in!

Mario
You asked that same question a while ago;), http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?245018-Rear-Seats-or-No-Rear-Seats/page2&highlight=rear+seats+removed IMO it looks better when the rear seats are deleted and the floor is covered with an nice carpet which matches the rest of the interior, black, grey ect. The addition of road noise inside when the seats are out is very minor. The removal of weight is also nice. Don't sell them, if you get enough you can always get them back in place. And you'll notice i say i'm really happy with it. I was wrong! I put the seats back in for santapod and will not take them out again unless the cage fowls them
Noz
Indeed i did mario but i was purely asking again to see if anyone else had gone this route. i think il try it and just see how i get on.
Mario
^^It would be nice to hear what you think of it when you delete your rear seats.

The only thing I miss is that when going to the supermarket I could put the bag onto the rear seat, now without them the food goes all over the place:)
edd_t
Just fold them down... hahaha that reminds me of a Saxo thread a few years back, i guy thought that having the seats folded down in his saxo meant there was less weight at a certain point and it would make the car faster down the 1/4 mile!!! (but then again i believe he also said waxing the car made it go faster too)
Noz
Are you telling me that waxing your car does not make it pass through the air easier?
edd_t
hahaha that was just 2 of the things he said, wish i could find the thread for the rest!
Noz
ScottM posted some best-of threads by NOS, they were awesome. Shame our names are so similar.... Almost makes me look stupid by association
James
I've thought about a rear seat delete so that I can fit my guitar amp in the back. I sometimes have a rear passenger though, so I probably shouldn't.
