carlmhtt
I see a few people looking for good supras and I agree that there are a lot of ropey ones out there. May be selling mine later this year which is a TT auto, totally stock other than bpu which has only been on for a few hundred miles. It's a jspec which come from Japan with uk brakes, black carpets and leather etc. Silver in Great original condition, no dents or rust. Stock 17" wheels have been refurbished so look like new. Engine has done less than 80k. Been of the road for two years in my garage. In that time I have stripped and rebuilt head using new valve stem seals, ferrea valve guides and everything re-shimmed, reseated and cleaned up. All belts and gaskets replaced plus new radiator. Also fitted a good second hand pair of turbos from a low mileage supra. This car has never missed a beat and In my opinion it's as clean an example you will find. I'm trying to gauge what this might fetch as looking at higher mileage, poor condition cars going for around 5k I'm assuming mine must be worth in the region of 6.5-7.5k. Gaz6002
Some pictures would help us gauge how much it's worth, but £6.5k sounds about right to me.
Scott
Poor condition cars up for 5k are owned by dreamers. A good condition car with reasonable miles and comprehensive history could probably easily make 6k. You may get more on a very good day if you were lucky and it was exactly what someone wanted, but the market just isn't there. The people with money to spend are spending it wisely. You could end up sitting with your car for sale for months with nothing but 5k offers coming in.

carlmhtt
Shame to see your thinking of selling dude:( Well its not definate, just depends on how I feel in a few months. Running three cars gets quite expensive even with the Supra spending more time in the garage these days. As mentioned, I certainly wont be letting it go cheap anyhow. will go back into garage if I change my mind. Carl
Dnk
No offence intended here but im supprised it needed valve stem seals, turbos and a new rad at 80k. What happened to the turbos ? my cars on its original turbos at 134,000 miles with no issues
carlmhtt
You & me both Dunk, It has good service history and previous owner looked after it but maybe I was unfortunate that they went so early. Maybe lots of short journeys or something over the years, who knows. despite that, it run just fine, just had the tell tale puff on start up which I just cant live with hence repalcing them. Interestingly enough, the engine & head looked imaculate when I removed it all. Hardly a spot of carbon build up at all. In fact, had I of known I may have saved myself a lot of work and used the rope trick to save removing head at all. The first turbo was missing a few niks out of the blades which is not un common so I replaced them just to be sure. Anyway, all done now. Carl Well good luck with the sale when you get around to it, maybe worth trying to gauge some interest. Stick it up for sale and like you said you're in no rush and if the price ain't right because of the current market keep it and try again when the market picks up. Like alot of supra owners you will miss it once you've sold it.
