CJ
Thank you once again folks. You people have no idea how much all the kind words and good wishes mean to me and my sons. It really does help to know that people are rooting for you (no Ed, not that kind of rooting ) and are genuinely interested in your welfare. We will be forever grateful. Porky1978
CJ, you are a true inspiration. Not just to the good people on this forum but to each and every person going through the same as you. Not only have you tackled cancer head on, you have helped others out through raising charity funds etc (which i still owe you when i get back from Japan). Keep your chin up fella, i will raise a saki to you later. Alex.

tbourner
Awesome news dude, glad to hear it. Was there no more detailed prognosis than "see how you feel in a couple of months" then? Still no option to operate?
CJ
Awesome news dude, glad to hear it. Was there no more detailed prognosis than "see how you feel in a couple of months" then? Still no option to operate? No my friend. If it had stayed in my oesophagus then that would have been the next thing to happen but once the cancer had metastasised into the bone area that option became redundant. The truth of the matter is, I will always have cancer. There is no cure for my situation and the treatment is palliative but, and it's a big but (a bit like some of my old girlfriends in that respect ) palliative care has no timescales. I know people who were classed as terminal (horrible word that should only be used in conjunction with airports and railways) and given a couple of years to live that went on to live (and still be alive) 15 tyears later. I hope I follow suit
