Robzki
Sounds like the clutch slipping to me. Go and post in the Manual transmission section of the forum, we have no need of your posting prowess here in the auto section.
andz222
its an automatic not manual
Robzki
"To check the level, drive the car for 10 - 15 miles but not too hard. Park on level ground, leave the engine running for the whole checking process, this is most important other wise your will get a false high reading. With your foot on the brake run through all gears passing through neutral a few times, this ensure the fluid is dispersed round the system and not sitting in the sump. Place the selector in park. Take out the dipstick wipe it, reinsert and check the level, it should be at or close to the high mark." - Terminator

Robzki
No problem, also check that the fluid is a nice red colour and also doesn't smell 'burnt' its doubtful that this is the issue but well worth checking
