Helmet, overalls, boots, gloves, neck brace, spare wheels, spare parts, petrol, race license, entry fees are just some off the things to get started , then you need somewhere to store the car and a car transporter to get there and back ( homemade car transporters arnt aloud anymore) so it'll be an expensive one

Other than that yep I'd love to have a go as it looks great Craic haha

And our local famous circuit now has a strict noise limit so no more Rally X allowed :(

They managed to convinse them to move but then the gokart men bought the track and wouldn't let anyone else on it, now it's owned by new owners who spent a fortune sound proofing the edge of the track and I think they are trying to get the rallycross back which would be great as it was pure entertainment

And yes the stock car track round the corner is still going strong , there might be a little bit of politics going on in that situation (and I don't mean legal either)

they moved those to the Oval. The last car i took there for testing was a BDC chaser, well within BDC noise limits limits, lasted 4 mins on the track before Being hauled off ;(

think the go karts are ok...just about lol

Iys a pity too, becuase the Circuit was completely redeveloped and is quite a decent drive for a short circuit....and its ONE owner that has them over a barrell :(

I nearly choked laughing. Sorry, but that's like my noisy neighbour moving from one side of me and into the other!

It's always one melt that spoils it for everyone isn't it. So I take it the track days are still a no go there? What other alternatives are there for you guys?

The track is literally 4 mins from work so was ideal for testing. Ive been told i may still get it for an hour here and there during certain times of the year (prolly when the fucker goes on holiday to silverstone so he can complain to the hotel staff)

Did have very limited access to a private 18/36 runway a few miles away, then theres bishops court for drift and short track, and for track days theres Kirkistown circuit down by ards

If you could build the car yourself, have a garage/workshop and own a trailer and something to pull it, the only thing that's going to cost is entry fee's, obvioulsy a car, spares and a bash hat, overalls etc.

Failing that, nudge 'n' spin at a local banger track will cost you £50 a meeting.

Don't forget agadowey but it's a hike away

It's a real shame that, but it's good you guys still have some options. Hopefully the Helmuts will come to their senses at some point and return Nutts to a practical facility for all.
