Supra N_A Posted March 10, 2012 Share Posted March 10, 2012 just ordered my new aux pulleys and fan belt (power steering pulley,alternator pulley,water pump pulley and idler pulley) are these ok to fit?? is there a guide any were so could think about doing it my self? advice at all on these? David P Posted March 10, 2012 Share Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) You may need a pneumatic spanner to undo the alternator pulley nut and will need some Red Loctite to secure the idler pulley nut. hodge Posted March 10, 2012 Share Posted March 10, 2012 As Dave said, the alternator pulley is a total bitch. Sometimes it will come off with a goose neck spanner and a rachet but odds are it won't.
