CJ
Warning - long post! My tale of woe began yesterday when I was due to have a delivery from City Link. I had a tracking number and looked it up mid morning to see that it had been put on a delivery van and was on its way. At around 18.00 I decided to check again and this time the status had changed to "back into the system". A quick call to the customer service people revealed that the driver had tried to deliver the parcel but had not got an answer and so had a left a card. When I explained that I had been in al day, no card had been left and no contact made he then looked deeper into the situation (how he did that is anyone's guess) and told me that I was right and that the driver had not left a card as he could not gain access to the building. I explained that i lived in a block of apartments that had security key pad entry but, and here's the thing, they also have a bell to contact the warden / security to gain access. At this he mumbled something completely incoherent and finished by saying the parcel would be with me tomorrow. As I was expecting another parcel from City Link today, I felt it would be prudent to give him my home number and mobile number to enable the driver(s) to contact me should there be a problem. He duly took these down and ended the conversation. Upon awaking today, I decided to re-check with customer services that both parcels were going out and that they had my numbers. this was confirmed and so it was with a smile on my face I sat down to watch Jeremy Kyle safe in the knowledge my goodies were on their way. But, they weren't! I kept a close watch all morning on the status of both my parcels. All was looking good. Both had delivery loading times (different times for each which surprised me given that they were coming to the same address) and were on their way - until 11.00am when yesterdays parcel once again showed as being returned to the depot! Another call ensued. This time it was an equally disinterested "helper" who told me that the parcel was back at the depot. I asked why and she stated "probably" because the van broke down. When I asked could she find out and get back to me she replied that she couldn't as that was not possible. I then asked for the local branch number to speak to them direct. She replied that was not possible. I asked if she could get hold of the driver via any means and guess what? Yep, that wasn't possible either! Her only advice was to allow her to rebook it for a delivery next Monday or to go to the branch and collect it. I explained that if I left and drove the 15 miles to the branch, the chances are I would miss the delivery of the other parcel that was due to arrive. She then advised contacting the sender of the missing parcel to get him to rebook for a Saturday delivery but informed me that it would cost a bit more! What???? You expect me / us to pay extra after you failed to deliver on 2 separate occasions? Cant you just rebook it I asked? Her reply - yes, you know what's coming don't you - that's not possible! And so here I still am still sat here waiting for parcel number 2 to arrive before then making a 30 mile round trip to collect a parcel that was paid for as a next day delivery to be made yesterday. City Link - you suck!

Dnk
How well were the parts wrapped up ? thats usually half the problem, people have sent me stuff and it begs belief how they expect it to get anywhere undamaged.
CJ
Courier just arrived and dropped off the parcel that was due today - so, that's good news. But, (and there's always a but eh?), I have now found out what happened today with the parcel that should have been delivered yesterday. As it says on the tracking page it is indeed back at the depot but it isn't due to a breakdown. Oh no - this is due to the fact that the driver accidentally left it there when he left this morning! OK, I wasn't exactly overly impressed but at least I could admire his honesty! And so, he has now promised to deliver it early on Monday which I have agreed to. It will save me a 30 mile round trip and enduring the Friday night traffic.

All I can say is Good luck mate, I sent a mobile phone with full insurance which got "lost".. I started a claim with them over a year ago and I have not seen a penny as yet. According to Parcel force my claim is still under investigation.. I doubt I will ever see the £140 that they lost for me.
Westy
I got a delivery through city link today...their tracking system is rubbish, but the items showed up without issue! Interparcel express through Direct Courier Solutions would be my advice!

Wheel courier / Paisley freight is my worst personal experience, but ive seen a UPS guy be very rough with some of the boxes in his van. Me and my gf wrapped the bonnet Dnk and it was wrapped to within an inch of its life. Ash, you didn't tell me all the bits were damaged, i thought it was just the rear bumper that had taken a little knock? Tasha might still have all the pictures we took before we wrapped everything, do you want me to ask her so you can make a claim against them? ashbuster
hi dan, im sure its too late bud but im really happy with the kit and its nothing to worry about, i know it was perfect when you sent it out i seen all the photos and the bonnet had a bang on the side and its bent it around slightly, wish they would atleast take abit of care because they know exactly what there picking up and delivering. there was that much bubble wrap in my house when i unwrapped it all lol ohh and it wasnt the bumper she got it wrong it was the wings he banged on the van, the car will be having a respray in the summer hopefully so i dont mind about it bud hi dellboy yeah it has made me think twice about using them again especially when they bang it on the floor right infront of your face (well my mrs's face) its not that bad tho and i dont think it would ever come off, and like you said it could be screwed under the sticker so i will have a look and see if i can sort something but i dont think it would come off my mrs said he walked up the drive with it and dropped it down on the floor then asked her the name, i have slabs by my step too so it was banged on the slabs, all down to the courier i guess but it looks like they all have faults
SupraDan24
When i had my wheels delivered my PF i walked round to the side of the van he was unloading from just in time to see the guy put one of them on the ground on the tyre (as it would sit on the car). Of course, the wheel was heavier on one side as the tyre wasnt fitted to the rim so i watched in dispair as it tipped over and landed on the rim before i could catch it. I went nuts at the guy, was really peeved he'd been so careless. He didnt speak a word the whole time he was there, he just got the signature and left immediately lol. hi dan, im sure its too late bud but im really happy with the kit and its nothing to worry about, i know it was perfect when you sent it out i seen all the photos and the bonnet had a bang on the side and its bent it around slightly, wish they would atleast take abit of care because they know exactly what there picking up and delivering. there was that much bubble wrap in my house when i unwrapped it all lol ohh and it wasnt the bumper she got it wrong it was the wings he banged on the van, the car will be having a respray in the summer hopefully so i dont mind about it bud hi dellboy yeah it has made me think twice about using them again especially when they bang it on the floor right infront of your face (well my mrs's face) its not that bad tho and i dont think it would ever come off, and like you said it could be screwed under the sticker so i will have a look and see if i can sort something but i dont think it would come off my mrs said he walked up the drive with it and dropped it down on the floor then asked her the name, i have slabs by my step too so it was banged on the slabs, all down to the courier i guess but it looks like they all have faults
