What else would be needed to make it fit a MKIV TT

You will need a shifter extension, bellhousing, front part of the mk3 prop, w58 gearbox mount, speedo converter, clutch and flywheel. Think thats everything but im not too sure.

Well over priced, the only time a R154 is worth 400 mate is if its out of the Soarer so it will drop straight into the Supra without needing an extension. A R154 out of a MKIII Supra that will require a bellhousing (£200) and a shifter extension (£100) is worth at best £150.

And thats before you have got mk3 prop, w58 gearbox mount, speedo converter, clutch and flywheel, based on your calcualtions that R154 would be nearly 1K all in !

Why people still think MKIII R154's are worth 400+ is a amazing..............there not :taped:

cheers mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

End of the day im not parts expert but i have seen a few of these go and for sale at £500 so i priced mine £100 cheaper.

Next time i think you should think about the person trying to make a sale rather then damaging their for sale add. :(

Im not trying to rip anyone off, never have and never will. You cant really get hold of these boxes much any more.

You have priced it to sell, yes in reality they arnt worth nothing but with the new drift craze everyone wants these gearboxes as they are a cheaper alternative to the v160 , I'm selling one for £500 and I no ill get the money for it I just haven't advertised it anywhere else but here,

Remember some people are selling them for £600+

Good luck with the sale mate

Ps there is loads of nissans running jz engines and ull find it might sell quicker on a drift forum

I tend to Differ on that Ash ;). Its the only box apart from the v160 that will take the abuse a 2jz or 1jz can throw at it. ive done plenty of JZ big powered conversions running the r154 with no problems what soever.

There arnt many mk3 turbo manuals left in the UK, see how often one of these boxes comes up for sale on the mk3 forums..you'll be surprised. £400 is a cheap R154 these days, and as they get thinner on the ground they will become more expensive..just like the v16x boxes

With a 1JZ/2JZ running any sort of power you have 2 easy choices for a manual conversion, R154 or V16x...or to put it another way 1K vs 2.5K :D

Im not trying to piss on anyones fire guys, believe me, if anything, looking out for the club, hence wouldnt want to see someone pay for over priced parts. I still stand by what I say, a R154 out of a Soarer, that is worth money to a Supra owner. A R154 out of a MKIII that has no bellhousing and shifter/mount/prop/clutch aint worth £500 in my eyes, just IMO guys ;)

And if anyone wants it, buy it off Ebay, its going for a £100 cheaper then it is here ???

This proves my point, £450 with the correct bellhousing....

Mate???? What the hell you doing?

Your trying to say im ripping club members off?

i think you should get out my for sale thread and stop trying to ruin me trying to sell this.

it doesnt matter what bellhousing comes with the car it depends on the condition of the parts.

End of rant! ! ! !

I haven't stuck an advert on DW as I don't have enough posts, I did stick one up on driftireland but yet again it was deleted because I dont have enough posts, trust me I'll get it sold no problems, as I said the Nissan men that drift bust balls to have the boxes, I've also seen loads off them go for £600+ which is crazy money so the one in here is actually cheap for something that is getting rare

Don't get me wrong Ash, I love a cheap box, same as the next guy.:D

But the first link you posted is for a gearbox with a 7M bell housing, he only remarks it would suit a JZ engine if the correct bell housing is sourced.
