kitch79
DO you have two sets of CCWs ?? My guess is they are the rears sat on tyres. Otherwise that's just showing off haha.
Fitz
Reflection on the garage wall looks as if the back is slightly raised so would as Kitch says just be the rears on some tyres - although...I wouldn't put it past steve to have 2 sets
steve.m
Lol, just the one set of classics. They are the rears sat on tyres waiting to be swapped over.

Luxluc
How did mapping go Steve?
steve.m
How did mapping go Steve? Yeah all good mate. Got the NTK mapped in and the car running nice and smooth. It didn't really make much more power with Ethanol as the turbos and injectors are maxed out but it is a lot more responsive. It span a fair bit on the dyno as expected so couldn't get a proper power run, best we could get out of it on that dyno was 768bhp. It made that at the hubs at Abbey Motorsport so it's a strong 800bhp.
Guest Budz86
What mix did Ryan map it up to mate? Shame it span up but 888's have always been notorious for that.
Chris Bailey
What was the torque figure?

Yeah would of been nice to get a clean run. Was 50% mix. What was the torque figure? I don't know, didn't bother looking as we couldn't get a clean run. Luxluc
Nice one Steve. Yeah, the car is much more lively on ethanol. On mine, it starts to make boost much earlier too.
steve.m
Few pics from the Dragonball trip last month. Had an awesome time with great friends and some epic driving involved, it was good to do one with less cars as it had a more relaxed feel. Looking forward to the next one if I can make it as the wife is pregnant with our second child and It's due right around the end of May... Deja Vu!! Really should of thought about what I was doing at the time! Evidence that my car does get dirty... sometimes And the result of a small stone hitting the windscreen... TheTurtleshead
And the result of a small stone hitting the windscreen... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=192589&d=1412881561 I think the velocity of the stone had more to do with the result, than the size of the stone. steve.m
So... had a bit of an issue driving home from Japshow yesterday, some funny noises and no boost. Was hoping I'd just popped a pipe off but it looks a little more terminal than that...

Littler
Ahh hope it isn't terminal! Can they be rebuilt, are the parts available? Or maybe you should be the chap to try the precision 6870 although those greddy twins were/are the perfect setup imo Edited October 13, 2014 by Littler (see edit history)
mattdavies
Oh Dear... And on the way to Japfest we were talking about how more resilient the older turbos are Edited October 13, 2014 by mattdavies (see edit history)
Guest Budz86
Gutted for you mate! At least they have not $hit themselves completely and found their way into the block. Hard decisions coming up....
johnny g
Bad news that, Steve. I'd go and get a couple of the Owen Developments ODGT3076HTA turbos, if they can bolt on to your manifolds. I really like the HTA stuff.

steve.m
Cheers guys, it could be worse and things like this are bound to happen when running this sort of power. Not sure what's next to be honest. I'll take them off and see how much damage has been done. It feels like the exhaust wheel is still attached so fingers crossed its not gone any further than just the turbo. I'd want to keep this set up as I love the way the car drove. If they can be rebuilt I will do them both to keep the balance right but I'm undecided on what to do at the moment as I've spend a fortune on the car this year and with another baby around the corner I'm not sure I can justify it. Kaan W
Not good news Steve, with winter coming up I would leave it off the road until next year and spend the time and money on the more important things.
