Josh
Hopefully if you get an answer in this thread, thieves won't see it
merckx
I would like to remove the complete alarm but i cant find it There's sufficient space to install an alarm control unit behind the dashboard, easy enough to remove the dash panels and have a look. mrmyagiii
I already took some panels of but i didn`t see anything that looked like an alarm. It has to be connected to some standard parts to work? central locking relay etc?
mrmyagiii
When an aftermarket alarm is fitted with immobilizer will it most likely be fitted under the dash on drivers side?
merckx
When an aftermarket alarm is fitted with immobilizer will it most likely be fitted under the dash on drivers side? Depends who fits it really, mine is. On my alarm the control unit is just a plain metal box without any markings, there is a separate siren fitted in the engine bay. All the wires were black with labels on the end which you remove. They do it like that so that a possible thief couldn't easily identify the wires when it's installed. Some of the older alarms are just a single unit fitted in the engine bay. You've just got to look for wires that don't look stock, maybe connected into the hazard warning switch and ignition wires etc.
Lbm
I'm not willing to say where my 3 immobilisers are. Sorry.
mrmyagiii
Sirene is fitted in engine bay as well, if i just follow back those wires that would lead me to it right? But first thing i wanna just, it might just be a blown fuse (i feel ashamed since my girlfriend pointed this out to me and i didnt came up with it myself)
