Chris Wilson
£380 including VAT, and £8.40 including VAT insured P&P to UK postcodes. These are based on brand new OE parts and should handle about 25% more torque than stock, with no judder or nasties. Based on my popular and successful TT clutches, these are a new line for the N/A 5 speed cars. They are NOT suitable for drag racing or pseudo drag racing starts to impress the bint on the pavement giving you the eye...They are designed for normal fast road usage or the odd track day behind N/A engines or with a reduced life behind TT power units mated to the 5 speed box from an N/A. Forum user review available. In stock.
ripped_fear
Hi Chris I'm thinking more into the future, but how much would fitting be on top of one of these?
James
Chris, what would you recommend for a TT5 BPU?
JasonR24
Hi Chris does the kit come with the release bearing? Cheers
Chris Wilson
In truth a six speed Getrag but my clutch would probably survive, and at least have the potential for a bit of slip to protect the box. If you fit a clutch with too much clamping pressure the shock loads will kill your five speed box far quicker. AP always recommend using a clutch with only enough clamping force as to not slip under normal full torque acceleration, it's when you fit real hefty clutches the shocks are huge, and unless the gearbox is rated comfortably inside the engine' torque figure (which yours definitely is not), you are asking for trouble. I think my clutch would be OK, but wouldn't guarantee its life span, much would depend on how you used it. It would be easy fro me to say "It'll be fine", but it would be towards the upper end of its capacity.

I expected this, of course, but was hoping to see if this was potentially going to (pretend to) aid my W58 BPU Supra life! I am currently stock TT5 for now but a decat away from full BPU. £130(ish) is my difference between comfortable, sustainable power and either great fun or hassle!
