If you already own an NA then sell the whole car and go TT or just go NA-T. Save yourself a problem, if you pop an engine then its a weekend work and 100quid. Pop a TT lump and your talking ££££.

To be fair, treat either engine right and u wont get any problems.

Some will say go TT, some will say NA-T. If i had the money and could do it again. I would.

i am going to do itagain and it will be another na-t for me,just something about high compression turbod engine power delivery that love

2.5" universal intercooler kit would be fine, large intercooler applications would not be a huge problem and you can always upgrade the cooler later. high performance clutch would be needed, purely a better NA would not cut it. a stage 4-5 W58 clutch will be the best option.

Cheers for that mate

Will need to get a wanted thread up me thinks

The cost is getting someone else to make the kit and then fit it. If you do your research than NA-T will be cheaper and you dont have to pay someone else to find the bits. Na-T for the win, if I get another sup I think I'll go down the 1uz route, I will probably never own a GTE just because thats how its panned out.

i do want a 1uz car , but its so easy and cheap to buy an na and make good power with little efforort im just going to do it again

they are still cheaper than the 2jz TT. can pick them up for around 450 from what ive seen. its tempting to keep my GE lump as a spare and look into swapping in a 1uz. dont see many 2 or 3uz swaps. i know they are pretty similar and the 1uz can do anything the vvti's can, but would still be good to be different. thing is only person i know who can so a 154 conversion with a 1uz reckons its alot of custom work and not sure if ive enough time on my hands to give it a go. you should definitely give the 4L a go mate, your one of the first NA-T'ers here..

My brain is in turmoil :(

whats up mate :)

Hey, is this still for sale? I'm teetering on the fence between NA T or NA TT and can't decide

Do you think about this every other week by any chance and flick between NA, NA-TT or not bothering.... decide one and then forget about it.... Read a thread and then annoy yourself again..... Repeat every other week for good measure..... Look at your NA and cry.

Go NA-T. You will learn so much about the processes required and the little things involved with engine modifications. It all seems very simple but if you have never done it, you have no idea. Most NA owners don't have any ideas about the ecu map side of things, forced induction, uprated flywheels, how the parts fully intergrate with the engine on the mechical level. This is because we are not rich and would have bought the TT in the first place.

So what if a TT lump is a bit cheaper for the total process and requires less work from the owner to get swapped in. What are we on the forum for, purely to show off about what you bought, or to learn and take a journey with your car understanding it's processes with each component being added to your build giving you more knowledge of the combustion engine.

Go buy a TT lump, drop it in and not understand what the hell just happened. Or go NA-T and build your engine to a BPU speed with the knowledge you own an NA that will keep up with the BPU crowd and you built that block, you selected those components, you made the choice of what goes on that conversion.

Though the main factor I've left out is if you want 600bhp your kinda stuck with cardboard transmission lol BUT have faith fellow NA owners, as the NA-T has a cheaper engine replacement. There is a story of faith in this one yet I feel :D
