supra joe
Having a bit of a dilema at the moment ! I want a white pearl respray on the supra but now I'm being told that its a nightmare to match on metal and bodykits ! Does anybody have any advice or pointers, I'd like the colour but don't want it being so mismatched that it looks uncomplete.

supra joe
Just have White. pearl White always looks a bit creamy/dirty We were going to go for an ice white instead and stick the pearl over.
tbourner
I love pearl white on cars. Who said it can't be done? Have you got a second opinion from another sprayer? Don't know anything about spraying but sounds like someone wanting an easier job.

ozz
When I was looking for new car I wanted white but found massive differences in colouring between metal/plastic. Nissan admitted they had great difficulty matching. If you are paying someone good money to do it then stand your ground until its right before accepting the car back - plus talk to the sprayer first to see if they have any concerns matching your colour choice and agree that you won't accept it if it doesn't match. It really can spoil the car and you'll never be happy with it so tread carefully!
fastcar
I would agree with Tbourner go and get a second opinion third and fourth
supra joe
Its a pall, he sprayed sashas white pearl TT and looks good on the pics, jurgen uses him for his work. He is good at what he does tbh, just don't want a car that looks like a paint by numbers lol its either that or bayside blue.
Tricky-Ricky
Its nothing to do with the material, metal or plastic wont matter as the base coat will be the same, its just that with pearl the whole car really needs to be sprayed as one piece, rather than the bumpers, spoilers etc separate, thats where the mismatch comes from, a good sprayer will know this and at least position everything so it can be done in one hit on the same plane so there is no difference, However its more a case of having the space in a booth to do this, there is one other big consideration with using pearls, when it comes to a repair it is VERY hard to get a paint match, so something to bare in mind when deciding.
