Noz
Morning all, I current have a standard rear bumper. Due to some idiot driving into me, I am replacing my bumper with one I bought from imi. The bumper has a square cut out where the number plate is located, it doesn't seem smooth enough to be a factory requirement, yet I can't understand why it was there. Not sure how Im going to even place my number plate on it...
ashbuster
doesnt the rear number plate screw to the body?
Robzki
I'm sure my bumper has a square cut out almost the same size as the plate(a little smaller) The number plate is fixed to a bracket on the rear panel. This is from memory so I could be wrong

Noz
Thanks guys. My Jspec currently doesn't have this hole. Is the number plate bracket standard as using the bumper it may of been removed.
Robzki
I'm not too sure to be honest, my car is/was pretty standard and has the oem bumper/bracket combo. I'm not even sure whether the bracket is easily removable or whether it is spot welded on. Sorry I can't be more help R.
Supra Gaz
I'm pretty sure its part of the rear end of the car and cannot be removed? Certainly didn't look removable on mine.
dude
It is part of the car, itsd only spot welded on so can be removed.
CanisLupus
the bracket is there if you have the JSPEC Bumper with the cut out. I assume it was removed when the bumper without cut out was fitted

Ah because i was looking for a UK bumper a while ago but just remember why I decided against it so a bit irrelevant now
