adam82 Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 Hi, I have a grinding / metallic scraping noise coming from the transmission tunnel, it occurs when you are in any gear and driving along. There is no noise at idle while in neutral. I have made sure this is not a binding brake caliper/handbrake shoe and am 90 percent certain its louder near the gearbox rather than the diff. I am no expert but is it possible I have a worn output shaft bearing on my getrag v160? If this is the case is this something than can be replaced relatively easily? Thanks for any help.
