Wez
Hey All, Just wondering if there is an off the shelf Cat2 pipe with a sports cat. Had a quick search around and cannot find anything. Thanks
johnny g
You'll have to weld in a 70mm sports cat mate. I've been looking at this a lot

Nic
SARD do a sports cat that replaces the first cat, I *think* WedSports do sports cat to replace the 2nd cat but they're expensive. Probably work out cheaper to get a universal cat welded in.
Herb
I'm doing exactly that thing in combination with a MVP header on my NA this spring. Will post some information as soon as it's finished. regards, Herbert
CanisLupus
Weld in is the way to go. There are several 100cpsi Sports Cats with a max OD of 130mm which is what i'd get for a turbocharged car especially a single turbo supra

Wez
Jetex also do some sports cats but sadly only rated to 375hp http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/sportscatalysts.php?eng=Turbo+or+Supercharged&hp=326-375bhp&dia=3.0+inch

Wez
• Designed As A Performance Gain For Track Day Or Motorsport Use How does that work? It has better air flow, I am assuming this is down to it being only 100 cell, the standard road versions are 400 cell.
Wez
Does anyone know if a single 100 cell cat would be enough to get a MKIV through an MOT test?

Ahh I see, I read it as if you have a completely decatted car then adding one of these would give gains, which would be a bit daft. I have a sard race cat in the catback which I'm sure I will be changing soon, if I do I'll put the cat up for sale as its not needed on mine. CanisLupus
Wez i don't know how strict your Emission Regulations are but here in Germany you can pass an Euro 2 emissions test at the MOT Station with a 100cpsi cat. You just have to drive the car well warm before so the Cat works 100%. As for the BHP numbers, a supra driver here in Germany runs two 200cpsi cats parallel with 130mm diameter i think and hits over 1000bhp without problems^^
