RB-GTE
I have a stock 97 TT 6-speed (pre VVTi model). My goal is just to get my single turbo setup up and running. Once its all done I can always make more upgrades. Like the radiator and other small stuff. I will be running the precision 6265, and my goal will to make around 550 hp to the wheels, but I would be more than happy having it around 500 rwhp also. I am wondering how much power can the stock cams handle. I was thinking of doing everything else first like the fuel system, ECU, turbo... then change the cams afterwards. nigelboyne
i think for that power very little needs changing ie turbo and the clutch +injectors+ ecu. i think cams should be fine for that power
JamieP
I made 536 rwhp on stock cams, they was really holding the car back though, when i changed to Jun 256's the car felt transformed and made a load more power.
T2 MSW
Agree with Jamie, starts to hold back the performance at around the 520 mark. Mine also made a load more power when changing to 264 in 272 ex cams.

T2 MSW
at what power level would the same happen with uk cams Mine was running stock jspec when it made 520 bhp so it's porob somewhere round the 530 ish mark
Wez
Going from jspec to HKS 264/264 I gained 50hp with no other mods, the only downside is the power curve will shift to the right.

CanisLupus
only 10hp thought it would have been higher. The difference is only in one cam(exhaust afair) and the difference between them isn't that big
