ADZsupra
once upon a time there was a man who bought a shed...he loved his little shed but was upset and somewhat distraught at the abuse inflicted on the little fellow by the hands of its previous owner.. The shed became know as MAX and so the MAX revivial society was founded with the aim to transform the japanese junk boat into a muscled beast from the east...for all that max wanted was be on the open road with the wind blowing beneath his spoiler once again... This is MAX's story! PLEASE NOTE: THIS MAY CONTAIN IMAGES THAT SOME VIEWERS MAY FIND DISTURBING!!!!!!!!!!!!![sHOCK][/sHOCK] Just to sumerise: Bent Valves Bent Crankshaft failed Gaskets Garden Hose as coolant pipe 3 bolt missing on turbo manifold scored bores Oxidisation in the bores!!!!!!!!!!!! dented and crack exhaust misalignment holes in intercooler pipes front crossmember rotted through HID ballast wired up wrong incorrect insulators on injectors.. JamieP
Is this the UK car i saw at Lee's? did look rather rusty, Lee has done a nice job on it though.
Swampy442
Oh dear, where did you buy that? Good luck with the progress.
mwilkinson
And I was upset to find some light scoring in one of my cylinders......I will never moan about my car again. I'm under no illusion that Lee can make this into a beautiful car, but at what cost! Surely you would be financially better of buying a nicer condition BPU TT? You planning on going single? Lude
that "garden hose" is actually an oil pipe,, but usually used for catch tanks/breather systems etc

ADZsupra
I know the piping you mean lude! looks similar but it was the same stuff and besides..It didnt have an oil catch tank!! and was in place of the standard black toyota hosing, Lee stated the oil had eaten through the pipe!
