Terminator
Injectors When up rating injectors what are the merits of going the UK route and a resistor pack as opposed to going to high impedance alternatives to stick in the jap rail. Discuss.
Alex
High impedance don't have the range -they stop at a measly 800cc's! see http://www.rceng.com I can't see the problem with going this route....might be worth getting that e-manage in for sale and wanted to go with them. Matt Harwood
Phil, I'm hoping to go down this route very soon. The only real advantage that I can see with high impedence injectors is that you don't have to hack around with your loom. Although, I don't suppose it's too much agro fitting 6, 6 ohm resistors onto a bit of ally plate in line with the outputs of the RLTC to the injectors... Guest Terry S
Alex you can get bigger than 800cc High Impedance injectors for the Supra fuel rail. All I would say is that the stock rail only has 1 feed. The single line may struggle for the size of the injectors, hence most people upgrade the fuel rail to allow dual lines. Once you have upgraded the rail the options & cost for low impedance injectors are much better. Guys, when you are ready drop me a line. Alex
I couldn't think of a good reason why they stopped at 800cc's but I couldn't find any bigger ones..... AFAIK the stock rail with the conversion to 2in's and 1 return can handle at least 720's. But to do it properly means upgrading all the connectors and pipes to 6-8AN size from the tank to the rail, and every thing in between.... But were are getting away from the point. Do we have to use low impedance injectors? IMO NO. Well not if you're only running hybrids or a small single.
