Diff knocking. What to do?

For a while when i change gear or let off the throttle i hear a noise coming from the diff. I got the car up and held the propshaft and turned it left and right. There seems to be a bit of play when doing this. If there anything I can do. AFAIK its an LSD on my NA.

Diff fluid already changed and no bits on the plug. The exhaust is totally clear of touching anything.

If it's definitely the diff you will notice it when moving forward and reverse slowly over a short distance, ie when parking. I doubt it's going to be the diff, more than likely the mounts, subframe bolts or suspension as mentioned earlier.

Yea it knocks when im moving slowly i.e parking and getting into reverse. If im stationary and i lift the clutch up enough for it to bite it does it again.

What about if you try to push the car (forwards and backwards) with the engine off and in gear? If you can replicate the noise then, and not when it's out of gear it would probably point to the diff. I'm just thinking off the top of my head though, trying to think of a test you could do, so that's maybe nonsense. I would give it a go though.

Update. Got the car up again and went up the propshaft looking for play. The propshaft slider seemed to be stuck so i twisted both props in opposite directions and heard a pop. The knocking when reversing and booting it/foot off throttle has now stopped.
