Just for everyone elses info, if you pay via just giving they can claim a LOT more cash back through the government. If you are a UK tax payer you have obviously paid tax on the money you are donating (well you should have anyway ), thanks to the Government allowing relief on tax to charity it means that they can then claim the tax you would have paid and put that also towards the contributions. In simple terms it means this.. If you donate £10 they will be able to claim £2.50 (approx) in taxes that you have already paid. This means that the actual donation is £12.50 even although it's only the £10 that actually leaves your account. The government pays the other £2.50 from contributions to taxes that you have already paid. In other words, win win. Sorry for droning on if you already know this, I'm just thinking that a lot of people may not know this or have understood it properly.
