seba
Hey guys i hope someone can give me some advice, i installed a SARD ecu in my N/A 5sp, the ecu is made for the N/A 5sp. The car starts but after a few seconds it just turns of, putting the original ecu back in and everything works fine. I heard these are plug and play but maybe i'm missing something? Or is it just dead?
Dim Sum
I'll think there should be another part to the ECU. If i remember correctly you need the other part to work but i can't think what its called right now.

Scott
Be sure to make sure you tighten the harness bolt into the casing properly. That can cause issues
Jellybean
Hm..... maybe i'm wrong but i swear i've heard thats as well as the ECU theres another bit to go with it........................ I never took it out just took off the ecu footwell cover ,maybe something is under the ecu but reading up about it, your send the stock ecu to sard and they fit a ROM with different map tables ,boost cut raised to 1.2 or 1.4 ,speed limit removed and in some instances rev limit raised

seba
Ok guys thx will try ! But if it was knackered wouldn't the car start at all? Or has the ecu nothing to do with starter?
Guigsy
My car has similar symptoms but it's a single with an aem. Starts then after a second cuts off. Garage have checked everything. Only thing left is the ecu...
mellonman
mine did this with the aem fic but i got round it by putting more fuel in at 0-500 rpm at absolute air preasure.
Drew_flux
If it turns out to be dead, ill take it. Have a mate that bought one off egay and has a burnt circuit board.Might be able to make one good ecu from two bad ones.
