Stevo
One pair of stock mirrors for sale that have been 'carbonised' These are electrically adjustable and heated, but NOT electric folding. Once the stock mirror has been de-lined and prepped, they have been skinned with a genuine 2x2 twill carbon fibre then wetted out with epoxy resin/hardener (7-8 coats) before being finished in a UV and scratch resistant clear coat. They combine all the aesthetic qualities of carbon mirrors with the look and functionality of the stock ones. Obviously, because they are stock mirrors they do not offer any weight savings - however, being carbon fibre reinforced they will be stronger than just the plastic alone. Stevo
How many plys of 2x2 carbon have u added pls. And was it vacuumed on. These aren't vacuum formed carbon parts - they are OEM stock parts skinned with a single 'skin' of carbon fibre

Stevo
To be honest Hodge, I've done these sporadically over such a long period of time due to one thing or another, that I've lost track of how many hours have gone into them and found it hard to work out from that perspective. They are very nice indeed. Having you able to do this type of thing as a trader would be handy. Can't believe it has taken since 2010 for the mods to consider an application! Surely they just must have forgotten?
Paul
Quality work there mate, I've done a little of this and it's very time consuming but worth it when you get results like that. 100% for you getting hobbyist status, it's exactly the sort of thing the club needs to encourage, skill involved, not something a trader offers (real carbon skinning) and people want it.
