ashbuster
infact ive just checked and i told him on 10-03-12 so 4 months ago when he first had the problem lol even if its not the gasket, for the sake of a few quid you know its new, and it would be the first thing i would have looked at if all the pipes were fine Edited July 8, 2012 by ashbuster (see edit history)
listy
Lol I think he changed the turbo since then, but reused the gasket, hence why I think there lies the problem.
ashbuster
yeah mate he re-used them after he sprayed the pipes aswell lol, if it was me i would replace all the gaskets that have been messed with all on the turbo side and on the manifold/throttlebody side, if it still whistles then you know it cant be a gasket, but the pipes have been checked and new turbo,
safcdixon
Reading through the whole thread he seems too be blind too good advice!!
listy
Hence why if he doesn't check the gasket I won't be giving advice anymore. I've been helping him over pm and first suggested boost leak test the hoses. Then check induction side. All that was fine so said gasket. Since then, he's rechecked everything but. ashbuster
i guess some people can get away with re-using some gaskets mate but if you find you have a leak afterwards then will be best to replace. if its not a gasket you know they are new anyway
