I'm sure we don't call them SWAT but, the meaning of the word will still apply to the special teams for this. SWAT - Special Weapons and Tactics. I'm not sure your bobby on the beat could do this. Maxx Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 A member of my family is in SO19 it's the UK's equivalent of the FBI dealing with major crimes, they are not specifically SWAT but they are armed.
