Playstation Lovefilm Help

Recommended Posts

This is doing my head in now! On the PS3, I don't have a Lovefilm app on the XMB, under video or TV services. My upstairs PS3 does and has Netflix also. I've googled and tried the "new user" fix and also the Vidzone "fix" but to no avail! Others on google said you could download the Lovefilm app from the PlayStation store but I can't see it in there either. Can anyone help?

Tried that one already dude, I have Iplayer, 4OD and ITV player etc. Just not Lovefilm or Netflix.

Have you definitely logged into home properly and checked for updates? That's how I fixed it with my Dads. Also, be sure to shut it down and start it back up, as more stuff seemed to pop up with every reboot lol.

I think so haha, will try it again. Signing in to ITV player, 4OD etc too as I never use them but I'll try anything now!

Try this bud..

Users who experience failure to load the application (only see a loading page which does not disappear), need to:

1) Go to the Network option on the main XMB and select 'Internet Browser'

2) After the browser window has loaded, click the triangle button on your controller to bring up options menu

3) Select the 'tools' option

4) Select 'javascript' and turn it to 'on'

And then..

Do I need to install the LOVEFiLM App on my PS3™?

No. You may need to turn your PS3™ off and on again, but as long as you’re in the UK and a member of the PlayStation®Network, the LOVEFiLM icon will then automatically appear on the Video section of the Xross Media Bar.

Tried that one also dude, still says no. It's weird as the other PS3 is fine!

This still doesn't work for me. Have tried restoring the default settings, but I still don't even have a lovefilm icon to click on. Can someone please explain exactly what I need to do to get lovefilm on my PS3?

You need to trigger........ A location broadcast data on your PS3 to store your location on your account your using.

This means using applications that have location based IP filters built in that read this data. Home, Vidzone ( Download from PS Store), Music unlimited ( May not be there if the location has not been stored on your PS3 correctly ).

This unlocks location based firmware features. The PS3 never dialed Home correctly, likely due to having a bad network set up or not having it correctly set up when it tried to.

If those don't work try this.

its very easy to do Ive just tryed to cover every tiny detail so it does not go wrong for you,,, ^Just try it. take 5 mins tops.

To get the icons

^

Create new PS3 user... NOT PSN ID

log in to this user on PS3

Scroll across to PS STORE.

click on PS store^

Fill in store details^

select UK for location

select any date of birth over 18

go into store^

leave store.

log out of new user then instantly re login to PS3 on that user.

TV icon will now display ON XMB.

Download all bookmarks and apps

log out of new user and back to original PS3 user.

Ta da icons are there.

^

Keep the new user untill your old user is fixed.
