Supra N_A
very up set about hearing I might not be able to put a fmic on since my active lip will not combine with the fmic in place.. has any one fitted a fmic when the lip is in place?? really want the fmic in place like! or is this 100% mythbusted?? Kirk
If your don't want to lose it then just put your name down for one of CW's sidemounts. http://www.mkiv.co.uk/vbb/showthread.php?261330-CW-SMIC-s-(stock-mount-intercoolers) Other wise just bolt the spoiler blade to the front lip. tony tt
Can you have the fmic fitted if you take the lip motors out and have the lip permanently down? That way you can keep the lip
tomgeer
You have to have the active lip in a permanently down position as I understand it. I removed my active spoiler completely when I fitted a FMIC but I just recently bought a second hand spoiler lip and bolted it on without all the heavy framework, 20 minute job and looks the part imo. D8MOA
I also have the same problem as I want a front mount but want to keep the active spoiler! I think I am going to go the uprated side mount route! Paul whiff was doing a group buy on uprated side mounts if he had 5 orders the price would have been £350! Supra N_A
fmic are so for kool people thow the smic are hidden away and that is silly.
hodge
If you remove all the mechanics of the spoiler you can bolt the blade direct to the bumper so it fixed and still have the active spoiler but it won't move.

imi
Why the need for a FMIC unless pushing over 600bhp?
tony tt
Smic is more efficient on a tt bpu imo the front mount is more cosmetic than anything else unless your running a single turbo.

Sheefa
fmic are so for kool people thow the smic are hidden away and that is silly. I guess you have undertaken some serious flow testing between the two options to make such a brilliant statement like this. After all what looks cool is much better than practical function right................

D8MOA
Wasn't there a member who mounted a front mount to the outside of his bumper with the Intercooler pipes going back through the bumper?

tomgeer
Why the need for a FMIC unless pushing over 600bhp? I got mine because it was a much cheaper than a replacement OEM one, I thought it would look nice too but the bling look didn't last long . Why did you need a replacement OEM when there are several options, two of which are from traders on this very forum.
