Just checked documents lads and everything is correct, I don't believe it either to be honest :)

I live in the middle of nowhere, decent area and car has cat1, it's been off road for 3 yr and back then it was £510

Never thought it would be so different from me being 29 to 32....

Oh and it was on compare the market.....

Are you quite sure they haven't go it down as a the MK3? common mistake, I'm an old git and i still cant get my insurance anywhere near that price.

Nuclear, Biological & Chemical?

And that quote has to be for a mkiii, or a Wartburg or something. I'm old and can't get near that figure.

I just got a quote and it was £947, in a garage, In Devon, 3000miles a year, four years no claims and im 35

some nice cheap premiums seing here.

i paid £900 last year with flux. 26years old, 6 years NCB, 6 points & 2 fault claims.

remember that area is a big part of your premium, annual mileage, claims/convictions, also little things like marital status & length owned car can effect premium slightly too.

for me sky & flux were the ones who were best for me. admiral were next but with a larger excess

NOS TT, they have got it as UK not a import

I just tried Admiral and they wont multicar my supra or my landcruiser because of vehicle

modifications

Update

I've been through the mods list on the supra and it appears they wont

cover the car due to it having a modified or enlarged intercooler.

Im afraid their online sysyem is rubbish, i've just lowered the value of

the car by half and the premium went up ?! lol

Even removing the intercooler their quotes aren't great for either of my cars

compared to other quotes im getting.

Admiral £480 for my landcruiser

Octagon £374

Admiral on the supra but without modded intercooler

£571

CCI on the supra all mods

£379

LWIB all mods agreed value last year

£280

Sky quote last year

£ more than anyone else by a long way !!

Surely it would go up if it was down as an import ? i guess you mean they have it as a UK not

an import

Also they actually list the imports and UK model seperately so that shouldn't happen

sorry mate thats what i meant.

i just went on compare the market, elephant/admiral price was £700, well happy with that. however, i do have a FMIC and things like gauges etc that i dont think they will like when i call them up.

i do like a specialist policy which covers exactly what ive got on the car. if you are standard-ish though you should be ok.

To give you an idea of just how much 'location' makes a difference, I had a quote on B'Have's single when I was looking to buy from the same company at both my address and my parents address (they live literally 50 seconds away up a parallel street) and the difference was over £300 in their favour !
