Delboy52
Removed all the bolts as I'm taking the rear wing off and found that the wing has been re-enforced with bitumen sealant. This stuff is incredibly strong. Any suggestions how to remove it? It's the same stuff used to hold the headlight lenses on and that needed baking in an oven to soften it up. JamieP
You want something like this. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WINDSCREEN-GLASS-CUTTING-OUT-REMOVAL-WIRE-AND-HANDLES-/220694105279?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item336264ccbf
Delboy52
My next attempt was going to involve a hair dryer.. I hadn't thought of using a wire cutter at all. Thanks Jamie.
Tricky-Ricky
Sounds like sikaflex 221 and if it is heat will do nothing.
merckx
A cheap cheese wire cutter or strong fishing line etc.
Delboy52
That wire cutter is an excellent bit of kit. Managed to saw through solid bitmumin without damaging the car or the wing. The Do-Luck Type1 has now been deleted.
DodgyRog
What are you going for instead, I actually thought about this spoiler for mine for quite a while, still like it, but must give no rear vision at all Edited February 24, 2012 by DodgyRog (see edit history)
JamieP
Worth a few quid that spoiler, would have been fortunes new.
Delboy52
They are still really pricey new. This one is for Ashbuster who just bought the whole Do-Luck kit, apart from the wing. Visibility is not too bad in the rear view mirror. Can see over it, or under it with a slight stretch or curl of the spine I really wanted the Greddy wing but it is about $700 new. Got an OEM one from M_Life waiting to go on.
