Westy
Usually the second cat is required for a TT to pass the emissions test mate. I'm sure the single guys must know a friendly tester as an MOT goes on the engine model number for this test!?
caseys
it will pass with out the cats Unless you've got it running engine-threateningly lean... pull the other one.
bigbloodyturbo
anyone got a definitive answer on this? will the 2nd cat be enough on a single?
Noz
I've heard some engines pass, and some don't. Some NA without cat's dont pass.
caseys
anyone got a definitive answer on this? will the 2nd cat be enough on a single? When i can I'll take mine down to my MOT centre and get some readouts of emissions via all the maps, may help. I think as Noz said, condition of engine too counts. bigbloodyturbo
I have a friendly mot tester lined up but I don't know if he's going to go as far as bodging my emissions if they're really bad, he told me they have started really cracking down on this stuff
tooquicktostop
I have a spare set of both CATS for sale of anyone needs them for MOT, £100 for the two
jawan
lets say If I need to put cat on how do I do that on a single supra?
Bailey.
Just remove your mid pipe and fit the second cat, as above, most have a friendly tester.
D8MOA
well my glanza passed with a decat so surly a supra will?? clearly a 1.3 4 cylinder and a 3.0l 6 cylinder put out the same emissions so both will pass decat'd
bignum
Depending what downpipe you have( most are v band) with single kits, you`ll need to adapt the cat to fit, i`d say it won`t pass emissions without a cat.
Spence
Remember mots now have a visual check for cats!!!

Ian C
A TT will pass with only the centre section Cat fitted, and it's relatively easy to fit compared to the downpipe one
