Stonkin
I've been using a MK3 GTI in white as our run around car since last summer. Fantastic little car but fancied a change the last few days. The golf is perfect for what we use it for, just lacked some excitement So a suitable alternative was the VR6 model. I remember back when i was about 19, i had an E30 325 Sport and my best mate had a VR6, the sound of it was awesome and was totally standard. Have just got home after picking this one up. Its a 1997 Dragon Green 3 door, it has a fantastic 69k miles with mostly vw history and then specialist, which is very rare for a car of this age. It has lowered suspension and also has a Schrick intake manifold, a 6 branch stainless exhaust manifold and induction kit. At 40k miles the original black leather interior was replaced with a custom green and black leather. Not what i would have chosen but goes with the car very well and is a nice touch. Here it is I really do feel 19 again, it is so much fun its ridiculous and the sound i remember from my friends, with the extras this has, it literally howls
Stonkin
Just been reading that the Shcrick intake manifold was originally designed by a german guy and was meant to be used on all vr6's as standard. VW decided it was to costly and had one redesigned to use for production. The german guy sold the uprated design to Schrick who released it as an aftermarket upgrade. Supposedly adds 20hp so with the 6 branch to this should be just over 200hp. Its certainly nippy. Looking forward to getting stuck into the detailing side of it and there are so many parts available to uprate on it at very cheap prices to. Abz
Looks mint! Interior actually goes quite well. I love the sound of the engine, some fella had a purple with the meanest sounding induction kit, you didn't hear much from the exhaust, just the mental sound of the engine. Was a very savage like sound, loved it.

fastcar
Looks a very clean motor My mate had one of these at the same time I had a calibra turbo. They were very evenly match despite the the calibra having more BHP. Always liked the sound of them and loved the way it handled. So many tuning parts available for these cars your going to have a lot of fun.

Stonkin
Lovely car. Rubbish parking That was the lads house we got it from, they were his pics Well its been washed, clayed, polished by hand, waxed, plastics and tyres all treated. That will do for now until i get time to get it in the garage for a proper detail over a few days. Would rather be using it for now Going down to my mechanic in a mo to get it on the ramps and have a good look underneath
