RedT18
Hey guys, as the thrad title says, I'm going to swap the Sissy J-Spec twins for a Turbonetics GTK 650 and have some questions. Let's start with the mods: - Turbonetics GTK 650 .68 AR - 3" Downpipe + Nur Spec - 40mm external Wastegate - Custom intake with HKS filter - Greddy 4" FMIC - Stock TT + Walbro fuel pumps in parallel - Denso 850 cc top feed injectors - Stock block and head with J-Spec-sissy cams - E-Manage ultimate Ok, first questions is: I am aiming for ~580 rwhp, will the cams be sooo restrictive that this goal will be hard to achieve? Will I need to raise the rev-limit? (seems non-sense to me, as the power curves drops already before 7k rpm) How much HP can the stock block handle? How about going for E85? Will it be easier to get those HP numbers? I know these are lot of Q's but maybe someone did a similar build up and has some hints on that. Thanks and regards from Germany
tony tt
Stock block if im correct should be good for 600+hp i think. The head should be near enough that aswell.
RedT18
Even with J-Spec cams? I am wondering if it would make sense to swap UK spec cams as I can get the UK INtake cam for some small money...
Bailey.
I imagine with that turbo and a.r, j spec cams you would struggle with 580rwhp unless you were running upwards of 1.8 bar boost, maybe more. add some 272 cams and e85 it's probably doable at a safer 1.5 bar. For example I made 495whp and 586fwhp at 1.3 bar with 264 cams an a pt 6765 billet .81ar. Are you stuck with that turbo or is it just an idea at the moment? And i doubt the e manage will provide a great map at much power either, could be wrong but surely a standalone would be better?! Edited February 12, 2012 by Bailey. Noz
Going single with that much power it would definitely be better to go single. Emanage are really old now, I found out how dated my emanage is when I installed the software I was presented with something that reminded me of windows 95. upg sells refurbed AEM ECU's for 300, thats cheaper than I paid for my emanage which IS FAULTY. Definitely go standalone and with the same specification it will make more power than a piggy back.
RedT18
Who's upg? Have the E-Manage running on my turboed 3S and there's nothung to complain about. It's very tricky to get it work on NA -> T setup... Bailey, bit low numbers with that turbo, isnt it?
Bailey.
No bud not at srr. Most 67mm turbos ther make around 620-640hp at 1.5 bar so about spot on in comparison to mine at 1.3. Take a look at the Ecu register on the forum to see different setups and dynos for a good comparison of what you will make. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?129455-Supra-ECU-Register Edited February 14, 2012 by Bailey.
