AndrewOW
Can we see a pic of the Doluck scoop, otherwise I'd prefer the UK scoop, and would seriously consider one for myself too.

AndrewOW
Well at least that would 'cool' the whole top the engine, as I know the UK scoop was supposedly design to cool the 6th cylinder, but as I have a Jspec without a scoop I wouldn't know if it was necessary at all. I just think the UK version makes the front look even more mean.
dude
thats the reason i did it mate , bonnet just looked to plain, and it is a subtle scoop And it works !!! Just as an aside Toyota tested the cars with and without the rear spoiler and it knocked 9 mph off the top speed fitted BUT over any small bump it would break traction. AndrewOW
I could not have that, the postman would keep putting mail in it !!! Are you referring to the Doluck or UK scoop? I would like to keep the car looking stock-like, so I'd choose the UK over the Doluck, even though I do like the latter!

Robzki
Lovely car Josh, shame about the fugly out of place wart on the bonnet. I have never understood why they designed it like that, the whole car has soft curved lines and then they stuck that small square thing on the bonnet rather than have it blended and curved with the shape of the bonnet. Its like while they had a brainstorming session, while chatting about how they were going to design it on a budget for the uk market, someone rested their folder on the bonnet and they all perked up and said 'that'll do' Edited February 10, 2012 by Robzki (see edit history)
Westy
I swear if I had a UK spec car I would sell the bonnet because of that scoop and buy a j-spec!
Robzki
On a Uk I'd keep it as it was so it stays original. but if I bought a jspec with one I would burn it in some kind of religious ceremony.
Morpheus
Love it or hate it, my previous car. I still love it! http://www.paulbrowncars.co.uk/car_Toyota-Supra-3.0-Auto-lots-of-extras-added.-Toyota-_100_20_index.php
Robzki
I like all of it except the rear wing and the stick on bonnet vents I like it when people are a bit different. If the Uk bonnet vent was never actually fitted by toyota I expect it would get a different level of appreciation.
add heywood
Personally I wouldn't mate, yours is a beauty for the fact it is stock looking... all imo of course.
Morpheus
I wonder how much rain and dirt get through the bonnet scoop? Surely it makes the engine bay harder to keep clean? Nothing worse than to have grit falling into your spark plug recesses etc.

Nothing worse than to have grit falling into your spark plug recesses etc. If its a genuine one, it channels the air down the side / rear of the engine block, so no dirt will get anywhere near the plug recess. Infact, the cam covers on my UK spec were in better condition than any other 2JZ engines vehichle I've owned.

The Raven
Those worried about the bonnet being rusted take note. Mine has been cut for 2 years now and not a sign of rust or paint flake anywhere.
