Havard
Always fancied putting a bonnet scoop on the car but Mrs H is not keen (although she will not stop me doing it)... I am planning on just getting a scoop fitted and not getting the big hole cut in the bonnet and having the snorkel etc fitted. My other question is what do you do once you have drilled the holes to protect them from going rusty? I have toyed with the idea of getting Supraloopy to do this for me but I am wondering whether to do it myself. Here is the car as she stands http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/9850/img2011091100032.jpg Opinions are appreciated H.
Westy
Ruins the lines of the car...don't do it!
dan294
Don't do it!!! I think they look far better without. That's just me though...
johnny g
Do it. Supra's are meant to vent!
dan294
You'll be fitting glass headlights and taking the sideskirts and spats off next!

Josh
Do it! It'd suit the car really well IMO.
marc_p
Ruins the lines of the car...don't do it! To be honest, I kinda agree with Westy, always found the UK scoop to look like a bit of a Halfords 'stick on' job, as far as Supra bonnet scoops go, it would have to be a Do-Luck bonnet for me, it's a very Ferrari 550-esque scoop. David P
Aluminium doesn't go rusty.
Ross C
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and personally i love the scoop. Its one of the reasons i was drawn to the NA i have. It just gives it a meaner look without going OTT. Your car look brilliant as it is and the scoop will give it that extra something
Tyson
Aluminium doesn't go rusty. I was going to say that.
Benjy
Do-Luck bonnet every time.
safcdixon
Leave it as it is, your car is a perfect example the way it sits.
probrox
Do it mate, I think it would suit the car and goes well with the active spoiler.
peter richards
wont rust mate , but you will have to cut four holes in the bonnet to allow the scoop to drop into the fixing holes . if you have a dremmel it s not to hard to do , fiddly yes but isnt everything on the supra , dont forget to buy the sticky seal that goes around the scoop , helps fix it properly , all i did then was fill in the holes after it was fitted to stop any water getting in . i did mine years ago and havnt had any problems
fastcar
I'm with Mrs H If you have to scoop go with the do-luck. It would look so much nicer with colour of your sup
Havard
Hmm, some divided opinions here. Mrs H may get her way then. Didn't think the aluminium thing through there did I. I was meaning that the effect of getting moisture on the bare metal and getting under the paint. Either way it needs sealing doesn't it? H. dude
Personally I think the bonnet looks way too big and boring without a scoop, defo go for it dude I am on the single car.
Pulley
Scoop!, they look sexy, I'm going to go scoop soon as I have the pennies

My thought entirely John. I just thing it needs some more detail on there. I have always liked the scoop though. H.
dude
At the end of the day if some wise ass tries to take the piss you can tell em its stock, that shuts em up, works a treat with the rear spoiler comments as well.
tony tt
Do it bud. It's nice with the scoop i think.
Westy
I disagree with the long boring bonnet comment...stock ftw! If I were to choose a scoop/vented bonnet it would be the DoLuck as it is subtle and blends into the lines of the car. Just my opinion. Robzki
Aluminium does corrode though, I would imagine the holes would be well hidden so a coat of any special paint should do the trick. But imho, I would leave well alone, as said they look out of place on a supra, either jspec or aftermarket ftw, they look like halfords stick on as already mentioned. BUT its your car so do whatever makes you happy, apart from painting the rims etc pink as I imagine that would look a bit gay. R.
peter richards
thats the reason i did it mate , bonnet just looked to plain, and it is a subtle scoop
